MyPaint Program!
"Creativity is just connecting things." - Steve Jobs

GOAL:

Students will research and draw an endangered species with different brushe strokes and colors to create a flyer using MyPaint Program and Microsoft Word.

OBJECTIVES:

Students will identify an endangered species by researching the animal using a computer in the computer lab provided with resources to use to search the internet – learn/review copy right laws. Students will create a flyer using the MyPaint Program and Microsoft Word.

WHAT TO DO:

1. You will choose an endangered species and research the animal using the provided resource links below and find 5 "free" images and save them to your folder. You will form groups of 2-3 and will review the copyright laws discussed.
Then choose one photo, cite your source, and research your animal using citations. You can type the information or write it in a notebook for the time being. Make sure your animal and information are related.
2. After reviewing the basics of brushes and colors of the MyPaint Program, you will use the brush tools to create an image. There is a link below to view examples of categories and art.
3. Save your Image in your folder - Insert into Microsoft Word, add text that you previously researched to create flyer!

Extra thoughts!:
- You may want to ask questions when your doing research that will relate to what kind of flyer your thinking of making when you finish. Such as, "Why do we want to save Bald Eagles?"
- Be sure all your text makes sense! You can keep in Paragraph form or add in the text creatively.
- Make sure you check all mechanical errors such as capitalization, punctuation, etc.

Resources to Use:

Be sure to cite all sources used for this assignment. As mentioned during our copyright of images discussion.
